How Learmpower Initiative For Empowerment collects, uses, and protects your information.
What we collect when you register
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. You may also add a handle, bio, country, LinkedIn URL, and profile photo, all optional. If you complete a paid, optional certificate, our payment processor collects payment details directly; we do not store your card details ourselves.
What we collect at the intake router
The intake router asks eight multiple-choice questions and one short written response, used to recommend programmes suited to your goals. We store your answers so your recommendations are available when you return.
How AI processes your responses
Your intake router answers and written response are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate your personalised programme recommendations and feedback on your written response. Proof of work submissions may also receive an initial AI-generated score and feedback, in addition to review by a human coach. This processing is used only to generate the recommendations, feedback, and scores shown to you. It is not used to build an advertising profile, and it is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Proof of work submissions
Files and descriptions you submit as proof of work are stored on our platform and linked to your account. A coach reviews each submission before a certificate is issued. Reviewers see your submission, your name, and the programme you are enrolled in, so they can assess your work fairly.
What is visible to hiring organisations
If you earn a verified proof of skill, information from your public profile, such as your name, handle, country, bio, LinkedIn URL, certificates, and readiness score, may be made discoverable to organisations that are hiring through the platform. This visibility only includes information you have chosen to make public on your profile. You can review and withdraw this visibility at any time from your account settings. Withdrawing it removes your profile from organisation-facing discovery; it does not delete your account or your certificates.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages and programmes are used, so we can improve them. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell data collected through analytics.
Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return or in order to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations as a registered nonprofit organisation. You can request deletion of your account as described below.
Your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request that we correct inaccurate data, to request deletion of your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of your data in a portable format.
